BeauQueue Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
Who we are and how to contact us
Boo Queue, LLC operates BeauQueue, including its mobile application and related websites and services. We are responsible for deciding how personal information is used for our services. Our mailing address is 7901 4th Street North, Suite 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, United States. Contact privacy@booqueue.com for privacy questions, requests to exercise your rights, account or data deletion, or concerns about information concerning you that someone else has submitted.
This policy describes information handled by the features you use. Some features are available only in particular account tiers or releases. Device-only information and information uploaded to our services are distinguished below. This notice does not replace any permission, consent or other legal requirement that applies to a particular use of information.
Information we handle and why
- Account and sign-in information: your account identifier, email address, display name, profile information and authentication/session information. When you choose a supported sign-in provider, such as Google, Facebook or Apple, we receive the identifiers and profile fields that provider makes available under your authorization. We use this information to authenticate you, manage your account, personalize the service and protect it against abuse. Provider access tokens may be processed to validate sign-in. We do not obtain your social-provider password.
- Gallery and media information: photos, videos, thumbnails, filenames and other associated metadata, which may include capture details or embedded location information; the names, notes, ratings, links and collection information you enter about people or content; and import, edit, synchronization and deletion records. These may concern you or other people and may include sensitive information depending on what you supply. We use them to organize, display, search, import, synchronize and share your content. Please include information about others only when you have an appropriate right or permission to do so.
- Device storage and cloud synchronization: local galleries and cached media are stored on your device. Features that provide cloud storage or synchronization transmit the relevant media and gallery records to our services. Your subscription tier, feature settings and actions affect which information is uploaded. User-initiated sharing, support submissions, sign-in and other online features can transmit information even when ordinary gallery cloud storage is unavailable. We do not promise that all information is device-only or that cloud galleries are end-to-end encrypted.
- Face matching: the app analyzes image faces and derives numerical facial measurements or representations to suggest matches and organize gallery/Feed content. Matching can be inaccurate and is not proof of identity. The current matching feature computes and stores those derived representations on your device, in an encrypted feature store separate from gallery synchronization; it does not upload those derived representations to our backend as part of matching. Source photos may separately be uploaded when you use cloud storage, sharing or another online feature. When automatic copying is enabled, matches may cause Feed images to be copied into a gallery. Those copies can separately be uploaded if gallery cloud synchronization is enabled. Settings let you disable automatic copying and clear stored matching data. Disabling automatic copying does not by itself disable all face analysis. Do not use this feature to identify people without any legally required permission.
- Camera, photo-library and microphone access: with applicable device permission, you can capture or select photos/videos and attach images or audio to supported feedback features. We process the material you select or submit; permissions can be managed in your device settings. Revoking a permission does not automatically delete material already stored or shared.
- Contacts and invitations: with device permission where required, the app accesses contact names and contact methods to help you choose invitation or sharing recipients. Selected destination details and your selected message or attachment can be passed to your email, messaging or sharing application. Those services handle delivery under their own policies. Shared originals and exports may carry embedded metadata; review or remove metadata you do not want recipients to receive. We do not make your address book public merely because you grant contact permission.
- Location and locale: the app can request foreground location permission and obtain coordinates during account setup; coordinates supplied at signup may be transmitted to and stored by our backend. Language, region/country and timezone information can also help initialize content and localize the service. Denying location may limit or prevent completion of a feature that requires it. Device settings control location permission. We do not describe this feature as continuous background location tracking.
- Social and sharing activity: content you publish or share, intended recipients or audiences, comments, reactions, interactive-game ratings, choices and participation records, reports, blocks, referral links and sharing receipts/provenance. We use these to deliver your chosen interactions, attribute referrals, manage access and investigate abuse. Opening a public link or accepting a share may produce access or receipt records.
- Subscription, advertiser and transaction information: account tier, transaction or subscription references/status, advertiser/campaign details and materials submitted for promotion. Where payments are offered, payment providers such as Stripe or the relevant app store process payment details and give us information needed to manage the transaction. We do not require you to send full payment-card details to our privacy email.
- Notifications: if notification permission is enabled, the app registers a device push token, an installation identifier and notification settings with our services. Expo and the platform notification services, such as Apple or Google, can process routing information and notification content when used to provide delivery. Notifications may be visible to others on your lock screen, depending on device settings.
- Device, usage, attribution and diagnostics: IP addresses and request metadata; device model, operating system, app version/build, timestamps, account/session or installation-related identifiers; install-referrer/deep-link information, region and advertising identifiers where available and permitted; feature events, advertising delivery/click records and diagnostic logs. Android attribution can use the resettable advertising ID when advertising tracking is not limited. These records support referral/campaign measurement, service operation, troubleshooting, fraud prevention and service improvement. Submitted feedback can include your text, screenshots/photos, audio and device/build details. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in a report.
Advertising and measurement
Our own promotion and attribution features use account/installation activity, campaign interactions and referral information to deliver and measure promotions, limit repetition and attribute referrals. The advertising experience can differ by account tier. Advertising links and embedded third-party pages may transmit information directly to their operators when you open them.
Cross-service targeted advertising across BeauQueue and the planned Trapezoid service is a planned capability. It is not currently represented as operating. Under the intended arrangement, participating businesses would use Trapezoid’s advertising portal to select audience categories, and our platform would determine which users receive their advertisements and offers. Selecting an audience would not give a participating business access to individual audience membership lists or the underlying personal information used to select that audience. Participating businesses are described collectively here; joining the advertising portal does not itself give a business access to individual user records.
Before introducing this capability, we will explain the information used for audience selection, any information exchanged between services, the responsible service operators and applicable recipient categories, and provide the consent and opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law. Where particular recipient identities must be disclosed, we will provide them as required. A privacy-policy update alone does not provide any required permission to share information. Current device advertising-ID settings are not a universal opt-out from all forms of sale or cross-context sharing.
Cookies, browser storage and external pages
Our related interactive websites use browser session storage for sign-in and selected workspace state. Where website attribution is used, visitor and campaign-attribution cookies distinguish browser visits and referral/campaign chains; the current attribution cookies are configured to last up to one year unless removed or replaced. These are distinct from the app's device storage and advertising identifier. Browser controls can delete or restrict cookies/storage but may affect sign-in or attribution features. Consent is required before nonessential cookie or tracking use where applicable law requires it.
Embedded external content and websites you open, including Facebook videos, can set or access their own cookies and collect information under their own policies. The current static pages at legal.beauqueue.com contain no advertising or analytics scripts. A browser “Do Not Track” preference is not the same as a legally recognized sale/sharing opt-out; contact privacy@booqueue.com about available rights and controls.
Who receives information
We disclose information as needed for the purposes described above:
- Service providers: cloud hosting, storage, content delivery, account infrastructure, communications, security and technical support providers. Amazon Web Services hosts backend information and stored content. Optional submitted development/QA feedback and attachments may be handled in Atlassian Jira when that integration is used. Expo and platform notification services may handle notification routing and content. Payment providers receive information needed for transactions. Authorized personnel can access information necessary to operate, support and secure the service.
- Sign-in and external-content services: your chosen identity providers and their integrated SDKs can process app/device/network information during initialization and sign-in; opening external links, embedded Facebook videos or advertiser pages can send IP address, device/browser information and activity to those providers under their own policies. BeauQueue does not control their services or access to your accounts with them.
- People or services you choose: intended recipients and audiences receive the content and associated information you share or publish. Anyone with a public sharing link may be able to open it while access remains available. Recipients can keep, copy or redistribute material; deleting your copy or revoking a link cannot reliably recall copies they already received. Device-only face representations are not added to shared gallery packages by the current matching feature.
- Legal and safety disclosures: where required by applicable law or necessary and legally permitted to protect rights, investigate fraud/abuse, enforce our terms, or protect people. We assess disclosures in light of applicable requirements and the information relevant to the request.
- Business changes: information may be disclosed in connection with a merger, acquisition or transfer of the service, subject to applicable safeguards and notice requirements.
Facebook/Meta sign-in information is used for permitted authentication and personalized service purposes. Access to Facebook public-profile information does not authorize us to obtain your friends list, private messages or unrelated activity. We do not rely on that permission as authorization to disclose identifiable Facebook sign-in data for unrelated cross-company advertising.
Storage, retention and deletion
We keep information for the purposes described in this policy, taking account of the account relationship, feature operation, the sensitivity of the information, requests to delete it and applicable security, legal, accounting or dispute requirements. There is not one retention period that applies to every category.
Local files and cloud files are different copies. Moving an item to Trash may preserve it for restoration; uninstalling or clearing the app is not a request to delete your cloud account. Local face-matching data can be cleared through its settings. Removing a selected gallery item does not necessarily remove independent recipient copies or every technical record associated with it. Company-controlled starter content can be withdrawn through service policy; a user's deletion of that content is distinct from a company withdrawal.
To request deletion of your account, information obtained from a sign-in provider, or particular personal information, email privacy@booqueue.com with the subject “BeauQueue deletion request” and enough information to locate the account or content. You need not reinstall or sign in to the app to submit a request. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity or authority. Do not send your password, access token or full identity document in your initial request. A local deletion or sign-out alone does not complete an account-erasure request.
Requests are handled subject to applicable law. Information required for legal obligations, security or legal claims may be retained or de-identified where permitted. Backup/versioned copies and records shared with others can require separate handling. Contact us for information about the retention criteria or scope of a particular deletion request.
Your choices and rights
You can manage available device permissions, selected sharing audiences, gallery/Trash actions, face-data clearing and automatic copying, and notification preferences. Operating-system advertising settings can limit use of advertising identifiers; they do not necessarily withdraw every previously collected record or replace a legal opt-out request. Disconnecting a sign-in provider can stop future authorized access but does not by itself delete information already held by BeauQueue.
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to know/access your information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, receive portable information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent and complain to a data-protection authority. Where applicable, California and other US state rights include opting out of sale, sharing for cross-context targeted advertising and certain profiling, and limiting specified uses of sensitive information. You can make requests or authorize an agent through privacy@booqueue.com. We verify requests only as appropriate, respond within applicable statutory periods, and do not unlawfully discriminate for exercising rights.
Where European/UK data-protection rules apply, processing may rely on providing the service under a contract, legitimate interests in security/support/service improvement balanced against your rights, legal obligations, or consent where required. Sensitive information and consent-dependent features require an applicable additional basis where the law requires one. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. Merely accepting this notice is not a substitute for required consent.
We operate in the United States and use providers that may process information there or in other countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, legally appropriate transfer arrangements are required; contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your data. This policy does not represent that every provider/location is covered by a particular certification.
Age, security and changes
BeauQueue is intended for people aged 16 or older and is not directed to children under 16. If someone under 16 has provided information, contact privacy@booqueue.com so we can investigate and address it. Additional age restrictions can apply to particular content, features, jurisdictions or stores.
We use access controls and technical safeguards intended to protect information, including secure connections for hosted services and protection of the local face-feature store. No system is completely secure. Protect your device, sign-in account and sharing links, and contact us about suspected unauthorized access.
We update this policy when our practices or applicable requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. Where required, we provide notice of material changes and obtain any necessary consent before using information in a materially different way. The Terms & Conditions are available at https://legal.beauqueue.com/terms.
